I’m Gabi (he), an academic trying to navigate life along a path that often goes in the exact opposite direction of what our consumerist, dumber-every-day society is trying to push us. In this blog I write about things I’m interested in (outside my academic work): Building a healthy and sustainable lifestyle; using software and hardware that help me rather than harming me; philosophy and thoughts about leading a meaningful life; and anything else I find interesting enough to want to write about.

In my experience, the two things that are most helpful in developing your ideas are:

Writing them down
Trying to explain them to someone else

This blog is an attempt to do both of these things with my personal thoughts.

There are no comment sections on my blog posts because I don’t want this to become a kind of social-media attention obsession. Nevertheless, I hope someone out there finds some helpful or thought provoking ideas in this small contribution to the indie web; knowing how much I myself enjoy reading good independent personal blogs, I hope I can somehow help others in the same way.
