I’ve been planning to start a blog for quite a long time; now it’s finally happened. The first post is an awkward thing: Do I write as if I’m introducing myself to the readers (who don’t even exist yet)? Or do I just pretend this is the continuation of a previous discussion with someone who already knows me?

Never mind; I’ll just call it a day and move on to the next post.
